The Community Thanksgiving service will be hosted by The First Mennonite Church of Christian Sunday, Nov 22 at 6:00 p.m. The Cole Street Singers will share their gift of music and Pastor Jim Sugars of the Moundridge Evangelical Free Church will bring the message. Refreshments will be served after the service in the church basement. An offering will be received for the Moundridge Food Pantry. Cash and/or food donations are welcome. Food items most needed are canned fruit, canned vegetables, boxed cereal, saltine crackers, packages of rice mixes, instant potatoes, toilet paper, Kleenex, canned soup (especially “hearty” type soups for winter), chili, and beef stew, pork and beans, baked beans, peanut butter, jelly or jam, canned meats (ham, tuna, chicken, turkey). Expiration dates should be at least several months into 2010.

Eden Christmas Tea

Women, mark your calendars for the 2009 Christmas Tea to be held on Saturday, Dec. 5 and sponsored by Sisters in Spirit (SIS)! The Tea will begin at 9:00 a.m. in the fellowship hall. Our featured speaker is Dawn Abrahams of Moundridge who will share her story and testimony. We will also have a special presentation of sacred dance by Angel Feet Ministry.  All women from our community are invited, so invite your neighbors, high school and college age friends too.
